According to the Daily Mail, the Someone Like You hitmaker shared she is resting her voice for a bit as her chest feels like it’s “on fire.”
“In the middle of last night—I’m sure you can hear it in my talking voice and my singing voice a little bit—your girl was tired,” Adele recently told a crowd while on stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. “I didn’t sleep very well… and Ursula from the ocean has come from my chest tonight.”
She further claimed that she couldn’t hit her headnotes properly and she didn’t sleep well. However, despite the struggle, the singer and songwriter stated she refused to give up. She pushed through her discomfort and continued on with the show. “Straight after this show I am going on voice rest,” she stated. “Can you imagine how hard now me not talking for three days is?”
Adele went on to say that she would be in bed coughing her “guts up on complete voice rest.”
“You’ve been amazing,” she added. “The show. Thank you, thank love, magical, magical, all putting it together from the moment out. I’m so glad you had a good time. I look crazy, I feel crazy… I’m going to go on voice rest.”
Adele has 20 more residency shows scheduled. After that, she will be heading to Munich for shows throughout the summer.
Adele Struggled With Health Woes in 2023 As Well
In 2022, Adele opened up about how she had been struggling with health issues that impacted her ability to walk.
While on stage for her New Year’s Eve show, she talked about her health woes by declaring, “I’ve got two more, I’ve just got to get over to the other side of the stage. I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica.”
She previously told The Face, “I’ve been in pain with my back for, like, half of my life, really. It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture. I was in bed and I sneezed and my fifth one flew out. And then when I had a C-section, my core was useless… But where I got my tummy strong, down at the bottom, which I never had before, my back doesn’t play up as much.”
