It has been over a month since adult film star Sophia Leone passed away. Police found her unresponsive in the apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a caller initially found her body in the unit.

Despite the time-lapse, details are still being released about her passing. According to TMZ, Leone’s mother claims she was known to have suicidal thoughts.
Sophia Leone Suffered From Suicidal Thoughts
“Sophia Leone’s death remains under investigation. But we now know a bit more about what was relayed to cops when they found her body. Including the fact her mom said her daughter had been known to have suicidal thoughts,” TMZ wrote.
“According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, officers say they were dispatched to Sophia’s apartment in Albuquerque, NM on March 1. The caller said they’d found her body in her unit. Noting she was already dead.”
Sophia Had Apparent Drinking Problem
Leone’s death is still under investigation by Albuquerque police and her cause of death is still unknown. Her mother is giving authorities all of the information they need to get to the bottom of her daughter’s death. TMZ notes that the mother had not heard from her daughter for more than a day before she was found. Leone also had an apparent drinking problem according to her mom.
“When officers arrived, they say Sophia’s mother told them she hadn’t heard from Sophia in over 24 hours and grew concerned. Something else of note … cops say the mom told them her daughter was known to drink,” TMZ added.
“Unclear if that had anything to do with Sophia’s death. But another tidbit the mom apparently told officers is that Sophia was also known to have suicidal thoughts in the past. Although, again, we don’t know if that played a part in her death here.”
The outlet also notes that the police department has brought in the homicide department. They are exhausting all options in the film star’s “suspicious,” death.
“The cops say that more investigators were brought in to take a look at this, and they even dispatched a homicide unit to check it out as well — finding her death suspicious,” TMZ added.
