Airline Staffer Takes Nasty Fall in Viral Video
Based on the video this was no regular fall for the airline staffer. The height of the plane is about equivalent to that of a two-story window. And though the current condition of the airline staffer remains at large, these types of situations do not usually have positive outcomes.
In April 2023, an airline staffer fell off the same type of ladder in the same manner and later passed away. The incident occurred in India.
“He lost balance and fell from the ladder which had to be removed. So he was rushed to the hospital in Sahyadri where doctors declared him brought dead. A case of accidental death has been lodged,” a senior inspection officer told the Indian Times in 2023.
An official from the airline was later charged with accidental death due to negligence.
“Probe indicates that the deceased was not wearing any safety gear including helmet, safety belt vest, etc. In the absence of these measures, the deceased sustained fatal injuries after the fall from the ladder,” Senior Inspector Vilas Sonde said. “We booked a manager from the company in charge of safety and security at the time of the incident. For failing to take the security measures.”
