During the episode, they discussed Travis Kelce’s past remarks comparing Arnold Schwarzenegger to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “When you were pumping me up and you guys were disputing between The Rock and Arnold,” Schwarzenegger explained, calling back to a 2023 episode of the podcast.
“[Travis] was partially right because The Rock is stronger now than I am. He has more muscles than I have right now. His movies are doing really well, so there’s nothing to be taken away from The Rock.”
“You’re a good man. You’re a good man,” Travis said through nervous laughter. “My tail was between my legs as you walked in here,” he admitted.
In the May 2023 episode, Travis and Jason engaged in a debate over whether Dwayne or Arnold should serve as the ambassador for humanity in the case of a space alien invasion.
“I’m sending The Rock. Just a physical specimen. Confident. He’ll know what to do,” Travis gushed in the episode. “I think his WWE career kind of exceeds anything that Schwarzenegger did.” Jason, for his part, strongly disagreed with his brother.
Travis Kelce Asks Arnold Schwarzenegger the Burning Space Alien Question
Of course, in the new episode, the brothers inquired of Arnold to weigh in. Should he or The Rock represent humanity should space aliens land on Earth?
“It really depends. I don’t think that you should limit it and choose one or the other. Why not work together?” Arnold mused, sounding a bit like a politician.
“Together, we’re the ultimate talent. We have it all. We have the wisdom and then we have the strength, the speed, the talent.”
During the podcast, also Travis Kelce shared his attempt to emulate his older brother Jason by transitioning to a vegan diet. Schwarzenegger also revealed he had experimented with veganism, but realized it wasn’t for him.
“I have cut down my meat intake by 70 percent,” Schwarzenegger told the brothers. “The one who talked me into it was [Terminator director]Jim Cameron. He is vegan, 100 percent vegan. He has tremendous energy.”
However, the Conan the Barbarian legend said that cutting back on meat was good for his heart. “I think it works because when you get older, doctors will tell if you have a heart condition – cut down on your meat intake.”
“So I did. Started eating mostly vegetables, soup, cucumber salad rather than chicken or meat or steak, I still love my steak,” he added.
