The actor, who has long been an outspoken fan of Brady’s, appeared on stage to crack some jokes about the former NFL star. However, many viewers were more focused on Affleck’s looks rather than his remarks.
“THIS is Ben Affleck? Why does his face look so different?” one viewer wrote. “It’s almost like he had some nips [and] tucks done.”

Another viewer wrote said it must have been hard for Affleck to launch his new face as others said his latest facelift made him “melty looking.”
Ben Affleck seemingly had a different approach to Tom Brady’s roast. In his onstage speech, the actor called out social media users who criticized Brady over the years.
“Fans have your back,” Affleck stated. “You guys out there talking s—, all right, behind your f—ing keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan. That makes you a b—.”
Ben Affleck then went on a rant about how Brady and other athletes have to read mean online comments constantly. “I can’t think of a more f—ed up, dysfunctional, horrible working system designed to perpetually make people feel awful.”
About six minutes into his speech, Affleck admitted things weren’t going well for him on stage. “I don’t think I’ll ever get this chance again,” he added. “I’m probably never going to work again, actually, after tonight.”
Ben Affleck’s Friendship With Tom Brady Was Put to the Test After the NFL Star Left the New England Patriots
Although he has been a longtime fan and friend of Tom Brady, Ben Affleck admitted to being disappointed when the NFL star left the New England Patriots.
During a 2020 interview on Tiki & Tierney, Affleck said, “Watching the Patriots, led by Tom Brady, it’s inspired me personally, and I know so many people. Sports mean a lot to people. They project a lot onto it. It gets people very emotional, and people really invested. I love Tom Brady as a Patriot, but he’s also a great guy and a great athlete, and I’d root for him if he played somewhere else.”
Ben Affleck also shared while on ESPN’s Get Up that same year that he and Matt Damon contacted Tom Brady about his chances of leaving the Patriots.
“Me and Matt texted him, ‘What’s the deal? You going or you staying?’” Affleck recalled. He then described Brady as a “prince and a really sweet man, and the greatest football player that ever lived.”
Ben Affleck then said he and Damon received a response from Brady that was pretty disappointing. “This is what we got back: an emoji,” he shared, and posted as the shrug emoji.
