In his latest Instagram post, Blanco stated he made Gomez’s favorite in hopes he would make her smile… or get lucky.
“I woke up early this morning and I was like, ‘I want to do something nice for my girlfriend,’” he stated. “I was thinking, whenever I want to put a smile on her face or get laid, I just make her steak.”
Benny Blanco then proceeds to do a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the steak for Selena Gomez. Along with the beef, he makes a fresh Caesar salad with homemade croutons and dressing.
Following the prep, Blanco delivers the meal to Gomez since she has the day off. He showed himself sneaking up to her house, as she was sleeping at the time of his delivery.
He then wrote “I love you! Sleep well! I made you steak,” with a heart on a paper towel and placed it on her nightstand.
Selena Gomez responded to Benny Blanco’s sweet gesture by sharing a picture of his note on her Instagram Story with a white heart emoji.
Gomez and Blanco were first romantically linked in 2023. Gomez confirmed in Dec. 2023 that she and the producer had been together for six months. She also declared that Blanco was “absolutely everything” in her heart.
They notably first met in 2019 when he produced her singles Same Old Love and Kill Em With Kindness.
Selena Gomez Says She Feels ‘The Safest’ With Benny Blanco
While speaking to Zane Lowe for Apple Music earlier this year, Selena Gomez opened up about her relationship with Benny Blanco and why the producer makes her feel the safest.
“Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you,” she explained. “And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world I live in.”
Also chatting about how her relationship with Benny Blanco is going, Selena Gomez said, “I’d have to say overall, it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely. I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”
Gomez further explained why she decided to work with Blanco in the past. She noted that when it comes to whom she collaborates with, she doesn’t always feel very safe in a lot of rooms.
“But I find that when I work with new people, it’s actually really fun to connect on what they’re walking through in life,” she pointed out. “And it’s like, oh, working with some great songwriters who know friends of friends and things like that.”
“But I think it’s also important that I stay with my core group because they’re the people that can crack the code with me the best. They’re the ones that can really help me explain what I want to say.”
