Ban’s son, Sebastian, took to her Instagram account to announce the news about her passing.
“My mum passed away on Monday,” Sebastian confirmed in a post, which featured family photos. “I know she wanted to share her journey after her accident and brain surgery, so I thought she would appreciate one last post sharing the news to people who supported her.”
Sebastian also spoke about his mother’s legacy and what she was like away from the cameras.
“She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all,” he explained. “She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process.”
Ban’s son further revealed that she was a fighter until the very end.
“[She] is the strongest woman I know,” he continued, noting she was also the coolest mom he could ask for. “She took care of me, my dad, and our entire family throughout her whole life.”
Sebastian then shared that while his mother is gone, he will do everything he can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be.
“As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever,” he added. “And to end in something she always told me ‘I love you more than life itself’ mum.”
Lynn Ban Shared Details About Her Terrifying Ski Accident Following Her Brain Surgery
Despite recovering from the emergency brain surgery, Lynn Ban took to her Instagram to share details about the situation.
In her Dec. 30 post, Ban revealed that the accident happened while she and her family were celebrating the holidays.
“Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a ski accident that would change my life,” Ban wrote.
The Bling Empire star shared some photos from the happier moments of the trip before her accident.
“At the top of the mountain, I caught a tip and face planted,” she recalled. “Luckily, I always wear a helmet. It didn’t seem that bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom.”
Following the accident, Ban wrote she got checked out by ski patrol just to “[err] on the side of caution.”
“They assessed me, and I was cleared,” she continued. “I had a bit of a headache but thought after lunch it would be fine and I could ski again. The paramedic suggested I go to the hospital for a CAT scan. This saved my life.”
Ban further revealed that she and her partner, Jett Kain, took a taxi to a nearby hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain bleed. She was immediately airlifted to a trauma hospital. The last thing she remembered was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy. Kain was by her side.
“There’s a long road of recovery ahead,” she added. “But I’m a survivor and grateful to ski patrol, the incredible team of doctors and nurses, and the ❤️ and support my family and friends. GOD IS GOOD 🙏🏼. Grateful and blessed to see the new year.”
