Shiloh, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, reportedly hired a lawyer to legally remove her father’s last name from her own.

“Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak for it,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight. She reportedly requested the change on her 18th birthday late last month, and is seeking to alter her name from “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt” to “Shiloh Jolie.”
Shiloh Isn’t the First of Brad Pitt’s Children to Opt Out of His Surname
The move means Shiloh joins several of her siblings who have also publicly distanced themselves from the veteran actor.
Zahara was the first to remove “Pitt” from her last name. During an introduction ceremony after joining the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, she introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
Last month, the Pitt and Jolie’s daughter Vivienne was notably listed as “Vivienne Jolie” in “The Outsiders” Playbill. It is unclear, however, whether the 15-year-old has legally changed her name.
In 2021, it was reported that Maddox, 22, chose to drop Pitt from his last name on non-legal documents. At that time, Angelina reportedly did not support her eldest son’s decision to legally change his name.

Shiloh is poised to be the first of Angelina and Brad’s children to make an official change by filing court paperwork to legally alter her last name.
Interestingly, Angelina, the daughter of Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, was originally named Angelina Jolie Voight. After a prolonged estrangement from her father, Jolie petitioned the court to drop “Voight” from her name. The request was granted in 2002.
In addition to Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne, the former couple also has two sons: Pax, 20, and Knox, 15.
Brad and Angelina began dating in 2005 after co-starring in Mr. & Mrs. Smith. This followed Brad’s divorce filing from his previous wife, Jennifer Aniston.
After 12 years together and two years of marriage, Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. She sought sole custody of their children.
Angelina and Brad’s relationship reportedly unraveled after a 2016 incident in which the actor allegedly became physical with his ex-wife and two of their six children on a private jet.
