Sources revealed to TMZ that the former couple hung out at Resorts World with Britney’s brother, Bryan Spears. Trawick notably lives in Las Vegas and Bryan allegedly “reached out to him to say they were going to be in town and would love to catch up.”
Another source told Page Six that Trawick is “still cool” and had stayed in touch with Britney Spears’ brother. However, he hasn’t contacted Britney since their engagement ended in January 2013.
Spears’ rep Jeff Raymond announced her split from Trawick in early January 2013. “Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement,” Raymond shared with PEOPLE. “As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends.”
Spears also released a personal statement. “Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I’ll always adore him and we will remain good friends.”
Trawick then shared in his own statement, “As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.”
Along with being a co-conservator, Trawick was also Britney’s agent at one point. He spoke out about the end of the pop icon’s 13-year conservatorship, stating she “needed” it to provide a structure in her life.
“And I’m not saying just finances,” Trawick said during his appearance on the Kevco, The Company Podcast last year. “I’m saying for other reasons, for therapy and stuff like that, or stopping her from seeing certain individuals that were not great for her to be in her life.”
Britney Spears’ Feelings for Jason Trawick Changed After He Became a Co-Conservator
In her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney Spears admitted that her feelings towards Jason Trawick changed when he became one of her co-conservators.
“I couldn’t see it then, but I see that not that having him tied up with the organization controlling my life might have played a part in draining the romance out of our relationship,” she wrote. “There came a point when I realized that I didn’t have any bad feelings toward him, but I also didn’t love him anymore.”
Britney Spears did say that the relationship with Jason Trawick was good. “He was ten years older than me and really had his life together. I loved he wasn’t a performer but was an agent, so he knew the business and understood my life.”
“We did have a great relationship. I felt a lot of love for him and from him. He got me through a lot of things.”
