In her latest Instagram post, the Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker was seen wearing a white sheer dance costume while moving to the 2007 song Bounce by Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Justin Timberlake.
“The nasty version,” she wrote in the caption with multiple see-no-evil monkey emojis and two rose emojis.
The dance comes nearly a year after Brintey Spears opened up about her relationship with Justin Timberlake in her memoir The Woman in Me. In the book, Spears recalled Timberlake cheating on her multiple times during their three-year relationship. She also revealed that he convinced her to get an abortion.
Spears’ fans didn’t waste any time attacking Timberlake. Following the release of his single Selfish, her fans propelled her 2011 song with the same name up the music charts. She ended up breaking her silence about the constant trolling.
“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry,” Britney Spears captioned a video of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon performing Selfish on The Tonight Show‘s “Classroom Instruments” segment.
She also declared she was “in love” with Timberlake’s song.
However, not long after her apology, Timberlake declared on stage that he wasn’t sorry to anyone. Spears quickly deleted her post and called him out.
“Someone told me someone was talking s— about me on the streets!!!” Britney Spears wrote in a since-deleted post. “Do you want me to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did the last time??? I’m not sorry!!!”
Timbaland Apologized for Telling Justin Timberlake to Put a ‘Muzzle’ on Britney Spears
The dance to Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Justin Timberlake’s song also comes months after Timbaland apologized to Britney Spears for something he said her ex should have done.
During a panel discussion for Sounds Architects: A Producer Conversation, Timbaland fired off a comment about how Timberlake should have “put a muzzle” on the pop princess. He also implied that Spears was seeking attention through her social media accounts.
Following the release of Spears’ memoir, Timbaland expressed regret for his comments.
“I’m sorry to all the Britney fans, even to her. You have a voice. You speak what you want to speak. Who am I to tell you what not to speak? I was wrong for saying that,” Timbaland stated in a TikTok Live session.
He further emphasized his respect for Britney Spears and admitted his mistake.
