Less than a month after he filed for divorce, Christina Haack’s estranged husband Josh Hall broke his silence about the split.

On Friday, Aug. 2, Hall took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts about the divorce. “I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” he wrote in the post’s caption, which featured a photo of him with his dog. “I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends, and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever.”
Christina Haack’s estranged husband Josh Hall then wrote, “We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are.”
Both Haack and Hall filed separately for divorce in early July. While Christina wrote that the initial separation date was July 7, Josh wrote on his documents it was July 8.
A source close to the estranged spouses revealed to Us Weekly that the duo has yet to start negotiations. In his documents, Josh is seeking an equitable division of assets. This includes the couple’s shared Newport Beach property. He also wants rights to Christina’s multiple HGTV series.
Christina Haack, who was previously married to her Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa and For the Love of Cars Ant Anstead, married Josh Hall in 2022. The couple didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement.
Christina Haack Has No Plans to Split Her Personal Assets With Josh Hall As Their Divorce Starts To Get Messy
Although Josh Hall is hoping to get a 50/50 deal in the divorce proceedings, Christina Haack is ready to fight for her personal assets.
Last month Haack made it clear she won’t agree to any 50/50 deal. “I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve / what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try to derail you — but ‘still I rise.’”
In the same post, Christina claimed that “divorces do not happen overnight” and “there is always a breaking point.”
Another source also told Us Weekly that Christina Haack’s legal team has offered Josh Hall a seven-figure deal, but he has apparently turned down the offer. His lawyer allegedly stated the number was too low.
Meanwhile, in her divorce documents, Haack accused Hall of transferring $35,000 from her “separate property rental income” into his personal account. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me,” she stated. “As those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”
