Sources close to the former couple revealed to TMZ that the breakup actually occurred in March and was amicable on both sides. The relationship simply ran its course.
Following the split, the insiders said Matt Rife wasn’t dating. He has been mainly focused on his stand-up tour. He’s also working on two comedy projects with Netflix, which he signed up for when the alleged breakup occurred.
According to the media outlet, Rife and Lord became romantically involved in June 2023. They originally met in 2022, but Lord was in a relationship with someone else at the time.
For her acting career, Jessica Lord has appeared in the films Murder at Hollow Creek and Binged to Death. She was also in one episode of Ransom in 2019. Along with acting, Lord is a dancer.
The breakup also came months after Matt Rife made headlines over making a domestic violence joke. After receiving some backlash, Rife made a “fake apology” which included a link to a website that offers safety helmets for people with disabilities.
Weeks following that controversy, Rife posted a message to a six-year-old child claiming that his mother purchased gifts for him from the money she made through OnlyFans. He later deleted the post.
Matt Rife Previously Gushed About His Relationship With Jessica Lord
During an interview with 2 Bears, 1 Cave last fall, Matt Rife spoke about his relationship with Jessica Lord and how the relationship just works.
“I have a girlfriend,” Rife stated when asked if he was “drowning in p-ssy” as the result of his fame. He also pointed out that “a good part” of his audience knows about her.
“It’s an early relationship, about four or five months,” Matt Rife continued. “But we’ve known each other for about a year and a half. She’s wonderful.”
When asked if Lord was jealous of the attention he was receiving from other women, Rife said she’s a very secure person.
“She’s very smart. I love that. She’s never been insecure about the amount of attention that I get. She sees it the way I see it…a girl will yell out in the middle of a show like ‘f— me!’ or something wild…and a lot of girls would be like, ‘You have girls yelling out to you in the middle of the show?’”
He went onto add, “I get off stage, she goes what the f-ck’s that girl’s problem? That’s so annoying, you’re in the middle of trying out this new bit that I know you’ve been working so hard for, now she ruined the entire f-cking thing. She’s very calming and understanding which is what I love so much about our relationship.”
