According to TMZ, Johnson and Reynolds allegedly got into a fight on set. Reynolds reportedly became fed up with Johnson coming to set late all the time. These frustrations reached their boiling point.
Reynolds allegedly confronted Johnson about his lateness on set. Johnson had begun to affect the production on the film. The altercation reportedly occurred, according to The Wrap, after Reynolds waited for five hours on set for Johnson. Insiders describe it as a “huge fight” that left them not speaking for years. However, they’re reportedly good now.
“There was no stomping off set … no loud argument that’s not true,” a source told Page Six. The source said, “Water under the bridge” before adding, “They’re professionals.”
However, a spokesperson for Netflix denied a fight happened. They said, “Dwayne is the consummate professional and we’re thrilled to have worked with him on ‘Red Notice,’ our #1 film.”
Dwayne Johnson Has Allegations Of Being Late
But insiders on the set said that Johnson was late several times. Likewise, he reportedly broke the pandemic quarantine rules. Johnson allegedly flew home several times on his private jet. They said, “He was frequently flying home and breaking the extremely strict rules of the bubble.”
Johnson posted a video of himself working a 14-hour day but later deleted it. One insider wrote, “He got to host family and friends for a BBQ, and wound up getting COVID anyway. Most selfish thing I’ve ever seen an actor do.” However, others denied that Johnson broke any rules. “Nothing he did was in violation of COVID protocols,” they said.
Still, these allegations of being late to set have followed Johnson. One crew member for Ballers said that Johnson was frequently late to set. This led to 14-hour days on-set for the show.
They said, “Because of a 14-plus-hour day on location, where he did not come out of his trailer to come to set until after 3 p.m. on a 7 a.m. call, I qualified for health insurance.”
Likewise, one co-sta allegedly kept a record of Johnson’s tardiness for the 2018 film Rampage. They claim that he was late an average of four to five hours a day.
“Dwayne’s call times are never, ever published on the call sheet,” one of the insiders added. “It’s because one of the actors on ‘Rampage’ was keeping a log of how late DJ was to set every day.”
