During the recent episode of his Inside Studio G, Brooks had nothing but praise for Kelce’s performance.
“Did you guys see Travis Kelce’s version of ‘Friends in Low Places?’ Did you see him sing this? I loved it, I thought it was fantastic,” Brooks declared. “It blew me away because I’m sitting there watching it as it’s going down, right. I never expected that.”
Although he and his wife Trisha Yearwood weren’t planning to be at the bar opening, Garth Brooks said he would make an exception if Travis Kelce showed up. “Big man, I’m just telling you this. I will be at the grand opening if you’re there,” Brooks explained.
“I’ll send a plane if you want another shot at the title. If you want to come sing that, I’ll send a plane. You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that.”
Brooks reaffirmed that he would gladly send his plane to bring Kelce to the opening. “So, yes, I’ll be happy to send this invite out to you if you want to try a little ‘Friends in Low Places’ in Friends in Low Places.”
Garth Brooks’ Honky Tonk and Bar is opening on March 7. The establishment will have four floors, with the first floor having two bars and a dance floor.
The second floor will have two additional bars as well as a mezzanine that will overlook the stage below. The third floor is going to have an intimate private event space and patio. The fourth floor will be on the roof with two bars.
Travis Kelce Sings Garth Brooks’ ‘Friends in Low Place’ With a Kansas City Chiefs Twist
Following the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, Travis Kelce took to the stage of the city’s rally to perform Garth Brooks’ Friends of Low Places with a hilarious twist.
“If you know this song, sing along,” Kelce stated before singing. “Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots and ruined the Niners affair. The last one to know, we were the last one to show, we were the last ones they thought they’d see there.”
Despite struggling through the song, Kelce continued by declaring, “And I saw the surprise, that fear in their eyes… Pat took that glass of champagne, I promise you. And I toasted. Honey, we’re through…”
Good and done with his teammate’s hilarious singing, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes grabbed the mic to continue the rally.
