Equestrian star Georgie Campbell is dead at the age of 37 after falling off her horse during a competition on Sunday.

Georgie was competing at the Bicton International Horse Trials in Devon, England on May 26. During her competition, she fell off her horse, named Global Quest.
“It is with deepest regret that we announce that Georgie Campbell (GBR) suffered a fatal accident whilst competing,” British Eventing wrote in a statement. “Medical professionals attended immediately following her fall at fence 5b however, unfortunately, she could not be saved.”
According to British Eventing, Georgie’s horse was assessed by veterinarians and “walked back to the stable and is uninjured.”
There is no further information about her death. However, it seems it was the result of her falling off the horse.
“To respect the family’s privacy at this extremely difficult and sad time, no further details will be shared,” British Eventing concluded.

This tragedy is affecting the entire community, especially Georgie’s loved ones. Her husband, fellow event rider Jesse Campbell, has been married to Georgie since 2020. They even managed a joint Instagram account, teamcampbelleventing.
On the account’s recent posts, individuals left comments of support and condolences.
“I’m just so so so devastated for you all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers x,” one person wrote.
“Deepest condolences on the loss of Georgie. Praying for you to find comfort and peace in the days ahead,” another person added.
“Jesse the whole equestrian community is holding you up right now,” a third person added. “So so sorry for your loss, thinking of all of Georgie’s family & friends, the best ones are always taken way too soon 💔xx”
Additionally, the riding community has shared photos on Instagram as a form of tribute to Georgie. They contain a white heart and a purple heart above a dove.
