“After reconnecting earlier this month, we realized that our love for each other is simply undeniable, and life is too short to not take a chance,” Blanchard told TMZ.
“We have a history that made for the perfect foundation for a new beginning,” she added. “[Ken and I] are together and in a wonderful place in our relationship. We know it is going to be a long road ahead but are excited for the future.”
Gypsy Rose sealed her words with a kiss, sharing one she planted on Ken Urker with TMZ.
This bombshell comes after weeks of subtle hints from the convicted murderer turned influencer.
In late March, Blanchard revealed her separation from her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson, after just under two years of marriage. Blanchard married Anderson while still in prison in the summer of 2022. She retreated to her father’s home in Louisiana.
Almost instantly, Gypsy Rose was spotted out with Ken Urker. The pair were prison pen pals who were reportedly briefly engaged in 2018 before calling it off. They were spotted earlier in April enjoying tourist areas in New Orleans and getting matching husky tattoos.

Blanchard and Urker were also spotted hand-in-hand, sharing intimate moments at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. One particularly tender image captures Urker with two lawn chairs draped over his shoulder as he tenderly clasps Blanchard’s hand.
Blanchard completed eight years of a 10-year sentence, having pled guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 for plotting her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard’s, murder alongside her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn. She was released in December 2023. Meanwhile, Godejohn, who stabbed Dee Dee to death, was given a life sentence.
Blanchard has dramatically transformed her appearance since being released from prison. Earlier this month, she disclosed undergoing cosmetic surgery to receive both a rhinoplasty and septoplasty.
Unsurprisingly, the felon-turned-media sensation is documenting the cosmetic procedures for an upcoming reality TV show about her life.
“I’m going through a personal transformation journey currently and that includes a physical one, too,” Blanchard recently told People. “Wish me luck with my surgery and watch the whole thing this summer on Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.”
All signs point toward Ben Urker being part of the next chapter of Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s media blitz.
