Are you happy?”, Gypsy-Rose asks Anderson at one point in the trailer. “I’m very happy,” he replies. However, it becomes clear her question was simply a set-up to reveal her own feelings.
“I’m very happy,” Blanchard says to her beleaguered soon-to-be ex before adding, “I just think that I would be happier somewhere else.”
“Go call Ken,” Anderson shoots back. “You’re probably already talking to him anyway.”
Anderson and Blanchard married in 2022 while she was serving a 10-year prison sentence for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Blanchard filed for divorce last month.
Following their split, Blanchard ignited rumors that she and her former fiancé, Ken Urker, had rekindled their romance. She did this by going on vacation and getting matching tattoos with Urker days after leaving Anderson.
Trailer Highlights Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson Grappling with Fame
The trailer also showcases the couple’s new-found fame following Blanchard’s release after serving 8 years in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother. This includes the couple navigating red-carpet premieres and social media.
In the trailer, Blanchard also grapples with reintegration into society, marked by milestones like adopting a puppy, mastering bike riding, and getting a nose job.
The footage shows her juggling her new sex life and relationship with Anderson, too. At one point, the seemingly happy couple even boast of consummating their marriage.
However, as the trailer wraps up, it’s clear the honeymoon is over. The troubled couple seems at odds with Gypsy-Rose’s continued communication with her ex.
“You’re mad at me because I confided in someone,” Gypsy-Rose tells Anderson at one point.
“I need to have faith that she will always come back,” a hapless Anderson says in another scene.
Then the trailer shows Anderson weeping as Blanchard declares, “I’m going to want a divorce.” The trailer punches out on Blancard leaping into the arms of Urker.
Of course, Urker and Blanchard have been extremely open about their rekindled romance. Most recently, on Sunday, May 26, she dedicated an Instagram post to Urker. “@kenurker I love you with all of my heart,” she wrote alongside a snapshot of her former prison pen pal.
