The 57-year-old actress recently took to Instagram to pay tribute to her notorious 2004 superhero film, Catwoman. In a series of topless photos, she poses with her two cats, strategically covering her chest, while donning a black mask as a tribute to her iconic character.
“And STILL… meow! It’s been 20 years today since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life,” Berry wrote alongside the sultry snaps. “She will always be close to my heart and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka CATWOMAN!”
In the caption, Berry also expressed her gratitude to her friend for assisting her in rescuing her two kittens, whom she affectionately called “black beauties,” after they appeared in her yard searching for their mother.
Fans and Friends React to Halle Berry’s Topless ‘Cat Woman’ Trubute
Berry’s fans and celebrity pals pounced into the comments with feline flair, paw-sitively licking their paws in approval.
“Lawd have mercy!🖤🐈⬛,” one one fan purred. “Hello Kitty,” veteran actress Julianne Moore wrote. “We need a sequel tbh”, another fan wrote.
One fan thanked Berry for giving the purring pussies a loving home.”Thank you again for saving these 2! I bet they have fun personalties “husky of cats” 🐈⬛,” the fan wrote.
Meanwhile, others simply marveled at Halle Berry maintaining her Catwoman figure.
“20 years where Ms. Berry!? You look phenomenal!,” an Instagram denizen hissed with glee.
Of course, Catwoman is something of a misfire in Berry’s deep filmography. Despite boasting an all-star cast including Sharon Stone, the movie was a ratings disaster. It received a mere 8% on Rotten Tomatoes and won the Razzie Award for Worst Picture that year. The film has gone on to become a camp classic.
In addition to winning Worst Picture, Halle Berry also received the Worst Actress award at the ceremony that year. Remarkably, she attended the event to accept the award in person, bringing along her Oscar. This occurred just two years after she had won the Best Actress award at the 2002 Academy Awards for her performance in Monster’s Ball.
During her speech at the Razzies, Berry joked that the debacle was exactly what her career needed. “I was at the top, and ‘Catwoman’ just plummeted me to the bottom. Love it!”
