“Wow, my wings still fit,” the 50-year-old wrote alongside an Instagram Reel on Monday. In the video, she sported a Calzedonia white string bikini paired with oversized white feathered wings from Angel Wings Los Angeles.
Heidi Klum broke out the old angel wings for the March cover of Glamour Germany. “This is 50,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you @morellibrothers for making me feel great,” she added. Klum shared eight more photos and an additional video from the shoot.
Although most of her Instagram pictures featured her in a sultry white bikini, she also posted images of herself in a Valentino lace applique mini dress, a Bevza satin ivory sheath gown, and a Sportmax white backless long-sleeve gown.
She also shared her darker look, a David Koma sheer black halter dress adorned with large black roses.
Heidi Klum Reflected on Her Angel Wings Days, Sports Illustrated, and the Ravages of Aging
During her interview with Glamour Germany Klum discussed how the public views her age and fashion preferences. “People also joke that I still dress sexy at 50. This is neither nice nor pleasant,” Klum admitted. “Yes, I’m 50, but I’m far from dead.”
“I just love colorful, loud things. Maybe that will change at some point, but it can also remain my decision,” she added.
However, Klum clearly has a sense of humor about reaching middle age. “The good thing is that my vision is getting worse and worse and I can no longer see everything so clearly (laughs).”
Klum also pointed out that time is always undefeated. “I just accept it – there’s nothing you can do about it anyway. Should we rack our brains? It is what it is,” she insisted.
While honoring her impactful time as a Victoria’s Secret model, she revealed that a major highlight of her career was becoming one of the Victoria’s Secret angels in 1997.
“When I started, they had 15 models. If you were the new one, everyone noticed,” she recalled. She also detailed the game-changing moment she graced the Sports Illustrated cover in ’98.
Klum shared insights on the evolution of her career since gracing the cover of Glamour Germany in 2001, asserting she holds no regrets.
“The fashion world didn’t want to see much of me. I came from the television world and was photographed for catalogs. Then there I was – and I wasn’t allowed to leave the drawer. Nowadays anyone can do anything,” Klum said.
