Following the news that Kick Kennedy has been spending time with newly single Ben Affleck, the horrifying story about her father RFK Jr. beheading a whale has resurfaced.

During a 2012 interview with Town & Country, Kick opened up about the whale incident.
She stated after learning a whale carcass had washed ashore on New York’s Squaw Island, her father packed everyone in the car and headed to the beach with a chainsaw in hand. He decapitated the animal.
However, due to the size of the creature’s head, he decided to put it on the top of the family’s minivan using a bungee cord. The family then made the five-hour drive back to their home Mount Kisco, with the whale’s “juices” flying all over the place.
“Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet,” RFK Jr’s daughter recalled. “We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us.”
Kick didn’t share what happened after his father brought that head back home.
Before the Whale Story Resurfaced, RFK Jr. Addressed His Involvement with the Dead Bear in Central Park Incident
Kick’s whale story resurfaced after RFK Jr. addressed his involvement in the 2014 dead bear cub in Central Park incident.
Last month, RFK Jr. spoke to Roseanne Barr about the incident. He stated that he was in Hudson Valley hawking when he came across the dead bear cub. The animal had been run over by a vehicle and died. Kennedy decided to put the creature in his van so he could take it home and skin it.
He kept the animal in his vehicle the majority of the day while he hawking. Although he was originally going to head to his home in Westchester, Kennedy decided to divert to New York City. After having dinner with some friends, he realized he couldn’t go home. He had to head to the airport to catch a flight.
“I didn’t want to leave the bear in my car, because that would have been bad,” he explained. RFK Jr. then said that he and his friends hatched a plan. They took the dead bear to Central Park and staged the death. They made it look like the creature was hit by a bike.
RFK Jr. had an old bike in his car and used it for the plan.
“So, then I thought you know at that time this was the little bit of the redneck me,” Kennedy recalled. “There’d been a series of bicycle accidents in New York they had just put in the bike lanes and so a couple of people were getting killed and it was every day and people badly injured every day it was in the press.”
The Dead Bear Plan Didn’t Go As Planned
Kennedy also said that he and his friends thought whoever discovered the bear would find it “amusing.” But the situation took a turn when someone found the bear while walking through the famous park.
“The next day it was on every television station. It was the front page of every paper,” Kennedy said. “I turned on the TV and there was like a mile of yellow tape and there were 20 cop cars, there were helicopters flying over it. And I was like, ‘Oh my God, what did I do?’ And then they were, there was some people on TV and Tyvek suits with gloves on lifting up the bike and they’re saying they’re gonna take this up to Albany to get it fingerprinted. And I was worried because my prints were all over that bike.”
Kennedy then added that “thankfully” the story died down after a while. He only opened up about it because the New Yorker was publishing a story about his involvement in the incident. He wanted to share his side of what happened.
