Isla Fisher has finally broken the silence post-divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen. This also comes amid Sacha’s drama with Rebel Wilson.

Isla and Sacha announced their divorce back in early April. However, she revealed the couple actually filed for a quiet divorce back in 2023.
On April 5, Isla shared a photo of her and Sacha to her Instagram Story, along with the message:
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
Since then, Isla hasn’t opened up any further about their split. Sacha, on the other hand, has found himself at the center of a major (unrelated) controversy with Rebel Wilson, which has been keeping him busy. In fact, he even had Rebel’s claims against him redacted from her memoir.
In the original edition of her book, Rebel alleged that Sacha pressured her to go nude while filming The Brothers Grimsby.
“It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,” she wrote. “I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha.'”
Isla Fisher Thanks Fans for ‘Kindness and Support’ Amid Divorce From Sacha Baron Cohen
Over a month later, Isla has taken to Instagram to thank her supporters for their kindness during this time. Though she didn’t share any more details of the couple’s split, she did appear happy in the photo.
On her Instagram Story, she shared a picture of herself smiling with a glass of wine on the table in front of her.
“Thank you for all your kindness and support,” she wrote, adding a kissy-face emoji.
The couple originally met in 2001 at a party in Australia. They got engaged in 2004 and married in 2010, nearly a decade after meeting. They have three children (two daughters and one son) together: Olive, 17; Elula, 13; and Montgomery, 9.
