And that sense of concern only heightened after Tyson’s in-flight scare this past weekend. However, Paul took to social media on May 27 to let fans know that the fight is very much still on.
“You love to make s–t up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Mike Tyson Suffered Medical Emergency This Weekend
Tyson had a medical emergency during his flight on May 25. It was so severe, that the flight crew elected to make an emergency landing.
“Mike Tyson is recovering from an ulcer flare-up he suffered while flying cross-country — and it was so bad, airline staff had to put out the call for any medical professionals on the plane to come forward,” TMZ wrote.
“Tyson was flying from Miami to L.A. on Saturday when he started feeling sick. The American Airlines flight was almost at LAX, but the boxer was in so much pain, that flight attendants asked if there was anyone onboard to help him.”
Jake Paul Reflects on Full Circle Moment
This will be the first time Paul and Tyson face each other in the ring. But it won’t be the first time they are on the same fight card. Paul was on Tyson’s undercard for his second professional fight. He knocked out former NBA star Nate Robinson in a convincing victory. Paul reflected on how this moment has come full circle.
“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” Paul said.
“Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson. To see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons. Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history.
“A fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world. A testament to all we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.”
