Justin Baldoni Prepares For the Highly Anticipated Release of His and Blake Lively’s Film ‘It Ends WIth Us’
As he recovers from his recent infection, Justin Baldoni is preparing for the premiere of his and Blake Lively’s highly anticipated film It Ends With Us.
Earlier this spring, Baldoni opened up to PEOPLE about the upcoming film and how he learned more about himself in the filmmaking process. “I had to dig up a lot of stuff, and I found parts of me that I didn’t know existed.”
Justin Baldoni also said playing the role of Ryle was very healing for him. “There was parts of me as Justin that I thought that I had maybe worked on and healed that I realized I hadn’t. Getting to know this character and his depth and his love and his joy and his darkness, I was actually able to work on those parts of myself.”
He also spoke about Lively as Lily by describing her as “strong, funny, and intelligent.”
“All the things you want from female heroine,” he noted. “There wasn’t a part of this production that she didn’t touch and have influence on. And everything she put her hands on and her mind to, she made better.”
According to IMDb, the film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel. It follows Lily as she overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life. “ A chance meeting with a neurosurgeon sparks a connection but Lily begins to see sides of him that remind her of her parents’ relationship.”
