The beer-guzzling, party-animal revenue machines have just toasted to a $100 million+ deal with Amazon’s Wondery to churn out and distribute their wildly popular podcast, New Heights.
According to Variety, starting Wednesday, August 28 (coinciding with the kickoff of the new NFL season) Wondery has secured global distribution rights for all audio and video episodes of New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce.
This agreement includes the entire back catalog of the show’s content. It also grants Wondery the rights to develop international audio adaptations of the podcast. They will also hold exclusive rights to monetize and distribute both audio and video podcast episodes.
Meanwhile, the NFL bros are reportedly locked in for three years.
The Details Behind Jason and Travis Kelce’s $100 Million Podcast Deal with Amazon
However, it sounds like Amazon isn’t going to mess with such a winning formula.
New Heights will be widely available across all podcast platforms, including YouTube and Wondery’s distribution channels. This agreement provides Wondery+ subscribers with ad-free listening, live streams, and the rights to create merchandise and consumer products. Wave Sports + Entertainment will continue to oversee the podcast’s production.
Of course, the Kelce brothers are pleased with the money-making arrangement.
“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Wondery for the next phase of ‘New Heights,’” the bros said in a statement, via Variety. “We love this show, and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to ‘New Heights’! We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership. We are thrilled to start Season 3 — see you soon, 92%ers!”
Of course, New Heights surged in popularity over the past year following Travis’s relationship with billionaire pop queen Taylor Swift. The show gained a huge new demographic: Swifties looking for any tidbits on the Super Bowl champ’s romance with their idol.
Amazon is surely praying to the powers that be that be that Travis puts a ring on it ASAP. There’s no telling what new heights the podcast (and revenue) could reach with engagement, wedding, and baby news over the next three years.
