Jason and Lane gave a ringside interview shortly following the match. The two NFL stars were still clearly pumped after the experience. The NFL stars were stoked about teaming up with Rey Mysterio. “We grew up watching Rey, just such huge fans,” Jason said of the experience.
Lane also revealed that he got to work out with WWE superstar Seth Rollins. “[Rollins is] in shape. So I learned a thing or two from him. It was awesome! Great athlete, great talent,” Lane gushed.
Jason Kelce also confirmed listeners of his podcast alongside his brother Travis, New Heights, would get all of the details about his WrestleMania adventure. “I mean, I think that’s a given. I don’t think Travis is gonna let me get out of there without talking about it,” he quipped.
Jason Kelce wasn’t the only superstar making an appearance at WrestleMania 40. On night one, the spotlight was on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who returned to WWE after 12 years. He teamed up with his ‘cousin’ Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. As a result of their win, Reigns’s Universal Championship defense against Rhodes on night two will be a no-holds-barred match, promising plenty of action with weapons and interference.
Also on the first night, Rhea Ripley successfully defended the Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch. In a surprising turn, the longstanding Intercontinental Champion Gunther lost his title to Sami Zayn. The event also featured a thrilling six-team ladder match for the Undisputed Tag-Team Titles, as well as a highly anticipated showdown between brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso.
