“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” Lopez said in a statement after canceling the tour.
“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
Jennifer Lopez ‘Relieved’ After Tour Cancellation
Lopez has had a rough last couple of months. Completely devoid of the tour. Rumors have been swirling that she and her husband Ben Affleck, who tied the knot in July 2022, could be heading for divorce. Amid all of the drama surrounding her life right now, one source says that Lopez is relieved that the tour is canceled.
“Life is a lot right now. As sad as she was to cancel the tour, she’s also relieved. She needs to take care of herself,” a source close to the situation told PEOPLE.
The source also added that even with all the time and resources that were invested into the upcoming tour, her team “encouraged” her to cancel it.
“The decision was something that her team encouraged,” the source adds. “Everyone is supportive of her focusing on family right now,” PEOPLE added.
‘Bennifer’ Divorce Not Set in Stone
Rumors have suggested that Affleck and Lopez are headed on a one-way train to Splitsville. But another source close to the situation says that the decision is not set in stone. The couple is still trying to work things out.
“Ben and Jen don’t want to get divorced,” the source said to Entertainment Tonight.
“And are saying they won’t, but their relationship is simply not working at this point. They aren’t done yet and want to fix things because they love each other, but they are also both unhappy.”
