Eagle-eye fans noticed that the “Baby” hitmaker stopped following his wife on the social media app, despite him recently declaring in his Instagram Stories that Hailey was the “greatest woman” he has and will ever know. Hailey still follows Justin on Instagram.
Many fans speculated that the sudden social media unfollowing occurred because Justin may be preparing to “release new music,” and the move was to cause a stir.
However, after fans bombarded him with comments about the situation, Justin revealed that he was not the one who unfollowed Hailey.
“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” Justin wrote in a since-deleted post in his Instagram Stories, per Us Weekly. “S**t is getting suss out here.”
The reported unfollowing came a month after Hailey seemingly rebuffed social media speculation about her and Justin’s marriage. She posted a video from TikTok user EyeGotThyme repeating the phrase, “You’re not well, and it’s OK.”
“Me to all of you on the internet,” she wrote over the video.
Hailey Bieber Once Opened Up About the Struggles She Has Faced During Her Marriage With Justin Bieber
During a 2021 appearance on the In Good Faith With Chelsea & Judah Smith, Hailey opened up about her marriage to Justin.
“I remember I called [my mom] a few different times, one particular time [when] we were in Brooklyn, and I was calling her, crying, and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it. There’s no way that I’m going to be able to do this if it’s going to be like this forever,’” Hailey recalled. “And I just remember she was so calm on the phone, and she was like, ‘It’s going to pass, you’re going to be fine and he’s going to be healthy and we’re here for you.’”
Despite the situation, Hailey said she knew she wanted to stay in the marriage through the ups and downs.
“I made a decision. I know for a fact that I’ve loved this person for a very long time,” she explained. “And now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn’t do that to him. Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life, potentially. I’m not that type of a person.”
She decided to “stick it out no matter what the outcome.” However, Hailey admitted it was “really, really hard” for her. “
“There were days where I literally was like, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to be OK,’” she said. “Something really deep down inside of me was like, ‘He’s going to be through it.’ I just didn’t know how long it was going to take.”
