The Princess of Wales previously met with the survivors and their families last month. They will all reunite at Westminister Abbey for the special holiday “Together at Christmas” event on Dec. 6.
Around 1,600 invitations for the event have been sent out.
A source revealed to The Sun more details about Kate Middleton meeting with the Taylor Swift-themed dance class attack victims.
“The Royal family have been a tremendous support to the families,” the insider shared. “The King met the survivors, then Kate took time out to meet them in private last month with Prince William. Now she has personally ensured everyone is invited to her concert which, this year, will mean more to her than ever before.”
The source further noted, “It promises to be an incredible, life-affirming night and there’s been a lot of organization involved to get it all ready.”
The attack occurred on July 29 at The Hart Space, a studio located on Hart Street in Meois Cop, Southport. The attacker, identified as then-17-year-old Axel Rudakubana, walked into the studio during the Taylor Swift-themed dance event and attacked using a knife.
Two girls died at the scene while another succumbed to her injuries the following day. Six children and two adults were also injured.
The motive of the attack has not been revealed.
Kate Middleton Celebrates the Holidays Months After Announcing She Completed Chemotherapy Treatment
The “Together for Christmas” holiday event will be the first that Kate Middleton celebrates since she completed her chemotherapy treatments.
In early September, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was “cancer-free” after completing chemotherapy.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Middleton stated in a video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Kate Middleton admitted her cancer experience was “complex, scary, and unpredictable” for her and her loved ones.
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect,” she noted. “And be grateful for the simple yet important things in life. Which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
Middleton then said she was focused on remaining cancer-free. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”
“I am however looking forward to being back at work,” she added. “And undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”
