Page Six reports that in a transcription filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 6 as part of Jonathan “JT” Jackson’s lawsuit against Hart, the actor claimed he was pressured into doing hallucinogenic drug Molly despite telling his friend, “No, I don’t really f— with drugs like that.”
Kevin Hart then recalled to DAI Robin Letourneau during the deposition what happened. “F–k it, I said, and I put it in my drink,” he said. “I had some water there. It was watered down. Because it’s in my drink, I’m fine. I’m fine with drinking. The night is good.”
Kevin Hart then opened up about cheating on his wife with a woman named Montia Sabbag. The actor stated he brought Sabbag and another woman named Morgan to his hotel room. After a while, Morgan left, and then Hart and Sabbag fell asleep. “I did not have sex with [Montia] that night,” he explained. “I had sex with her the following morning. She woke me up.”
Hart then shared details about their sexual encounter, noting that he realized she was trying to “get closer to the [hidden] camera” that recorded a sex tape allegedly used to extort him. However, the actor stated he believed the camera was hidden in advance by someone else because he never felt Sabbag leave the bed.
Nearly a year after the tape was recorded, Hart’s friend Jackson was arrested. He was charged with two felony counts of extortion. however, the charges against him were dropped in 2021.
Now, Jackson is going after Hart, accusing him of fabricating evidence against him. He also said that the actor broke a subsequent contract.
Kevin Hart Allegedly Signed a ‘Meticulously Negotiated’ Settlement Agreement in July 2021
Also in his lawsuit against Kevin Hart, Jackson accused the actor of failing to make a powerful public statement proclaiming his innocence in the sex tape scandal. Hart had reportedly signed a meticulously negotiated settlement agreement in July 2021 that had him make the statement.
Jackson claimed that Hart was supposed to say that “the incident” cost him “a very valuable friendship,” and that he “lost someone close” to him whom he “loved.” He also was supposed to say that he’s “proud to say that all [the] charges against JT Jackson have been dropped” and that Jackson “is not guilty and had nothing to do with it.”
However, Hart didn’t make any of those claims in his statement. Instead, he wrote on Instagram that Jackson had “been found not guilty” because “those charges have been dropped against him.”
Jackson noted that he felt Hart’s statement failed to clear his name unequivocally and restore his reputation. He is now going after the actor for $12 million.
