During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, April 22, Kardashian was all smiles and told the audience and viewers, “Life is good.”
Although Kim Kardashian didn’t speak directly about the song, Kimmel joked about the ongoing feud between her and Taylor Swift.
When asked about some of the online rumors about her, she confirmed which ones were true. “You sleep with your eyes slightly open?” Kimmel asked. Kardashian responded, “I do! There’s footage because my sisters have taken videos and pictures.”
Kardashian’s late-night talk show appearance comes just after she lost more than 120,000 followers right after the release of Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department. The diss track is among the songs on the critically acclaimed record.
Speculation about the song being about Kim Kardashian started when Taylor Swift fans noticed that the K, I, and M in the track’s title are capitalized and spell KIM.
Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian had a fallout in 2016. Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West had asked Swift if he could put her name in his song Famous. Although she agreed to her being part of the lyrics, she didn’t say she was cool with him declaring “I made that b— famous” in the song.
After Swift denounced that part of the song, Kardashian posted an edited version of the phone conversation between the Bad Blood singer and West. This made Swift look shady and Kim’s referred to her as a “snake.”
Taylor Swift has since claimed the situation with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put her in a dark place.
Kim Kardashian Has Never Apologized to Taylor Swift About Infamous 2016 Phone Call
Following the release of Taylor Swift’s 2023 Time Person of the Year interview, in which the singer opened up about the situation with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, it was reported that the reality star has never apologized for the infamous 2016 phone call leak.
Sources told TMZ that Kardashian hasn’t offered an olive branch to Swift, even years after the incident. However, the media outlet was told Swift would accept an apology from the reality TV star. But with one condition – it is done publicly.
Another source stated a “public shaming” calls for a public “I’m sorry.”
In Kim Kardashian’s version of the phone call, Taylor Swift was heard understanding exactly what West’s Famous lyrics would include.
Eventually, a fully unedited version of the recorded phone call was released. The unedited version proved West never told Swift that he would refer to her as a “b—.”
