On Monday, they launched a new campaign with WNBA legend Candace Parker, newcomers Cameron Brink and Dijonai Carrington, and All-Stars Kelsey Plum and Skylar Diggins-Smith.
The campaign, launching with the WNBA season start, showcases the players in SKIMS’ Fits Everybody collection, photographed by Hugh Wilson.
“I’m proud to launch this new WNBA campaign starring such an incredible cast of athletes. Championing women and women in sports is incredibly important to SKIMS,” Kim Kardashian explained in a statement.
“Our brand DNA is rooted in inclusivity, representation and women’s empowerment, which are values shared with the WNBA. We are honored to be the Official Underwear Partner of the league and look forward to continuing our work together throughout the season.”
Fans Gush Over WNBA Players Modeling Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Underwear
Of course, WNBA fans rushed to social media to voice their approval of players modeling Kim Kardashian’s underwear line.
“Love it,” one X denizen wrote. “Good business move Kim. Let’s get some brand deals for these ladies. They deserve that money too,” they added.
“Need more brands doing this with our WNBA players,” a second fan agreed.
However, it seemed one player in particular turned out to be a modeling MVP. “All the ladies looking great, but dang Cameron [Brink] is basically a model,” a third X user pointed out.
Indeed, many X denizens expressed surprise at Brink’s modeling stint for Kim Kardashian’s WNBA/SKIMS partnership.
“Cameron Brink has understood the assignment,” one fan wrote. “She could be a supermodel off the court if she really wanted to. I’m not joking,” a second fan insisted.
Another WNBA fan joked that this sort of thing is how the league can start making bank. “Now they’re realizing how to make money,” they quipped.
Meanwhile, Brink admitted to being a long-time fan of SKIMS.
“My fans know how much I love fashion. SKIMS has been an underwear staple in my wardrobe for years.” Brink also revealed in the press release. “I’m really grateful to be included in this lineup of players, especially with the greats who I have looked up to for so long. It’s truly a dream come true to be working with a brand that I love so much.”
SKIMS was founded by Kardashian in collaboration with Emma Grede and Jens Grede in 2019. The loungewear range focuses on body positivity, offering sizes XXS to 5XL. In 2023, the company’s reported value was $4 billion.
