Despite recent reports revealing that he is open to reconciling with Prince Harry, it doesn’t appear that King Charles is interested in seeing his youngest son any time soon.

According to The Telegraph, the prince recently revealed that his father was too busy to see him during his trip to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex issued a statement about the situation. “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program.”
The spokesperson also wrote, “The duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
However, royal historian and friend of the royal family, Hugo Vickers told Page Six if King Charles wanted to see Prince Harry, he would find time very easily to do so.
“You can never be too busy to see your son,” Vickers pointed out. “It’s a good idea if they do meet to forge some kind of reconciliation.”
Another royal source also said that King Charles has “left the door wide open” for Prince Harry. But it’s obviously not wide enough. “They absolutely can stuff things in his diary and juggle things around.”
Prince Harry Had 30-Minute Meeting With King Charles Following Cancer Announcement
Prince Harry previously saw King Charles when he traveled to London earlier this year. The trip occurred just after the king announced he was diagnosed with cancer.
Officials stated that the meeting between father and son lasted about 30 minutes. “We don’t know how that meeting went,” a senior royal source said. ”But I do know that the king was exhausted from chemotherapy and really keen to get off to Balmoral. He was desperate to be on his way and was delayed until Harry turned up.”
Prince Harry had invited King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton to the Invictus Games ceremony.. However, it was reported that no senior royals will be attending the event.
It was recently reported Prince Harry and William have not spoken for more than a year. “William is a hop, skip, and a jump from the throne, with an ill wife and three young kids,” a royal source explained about the royal not attending the Invictus Games. “He has plenty on his plate.”
During the ceremony, Prince Harry will be giving a reading at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral.
