Kris Jenner admitted to feeling “very scared” as she prepared to undergo surgery after doctors discovered a tumor on her ovary.
During the latest episode of The Kardashians, the famous momager sat down with her boyfriend Corey Gamble and daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall, to share the worrisome health update.
“I wanted to tell you guys something,” Kris Jenner said while the family was enjoying a vacation in Aspen. “I went to the doctor and had my scan.”
Before starting to cry, Jenner shared, “They found, and this just makes me really emotional but, they found a cyst and a little tumor on my ovary.”
Kris Jenner continued to share more details about her condition. “Dr. A said I’ve gotta have my ovaries taken out and I’m emotional about it because they came in handy with you guys,” she explained. “That’s where all my kids were conceived and that’s where they were grown, in my tummy. So this is a very sacred place to me.”
Kim quickly said she felt “really sad” for her mother. She also stated she couldn’t imagine what Kris was going through or how scared she must feel about the procedure.
Meanwhile, Khloé called her eldest sister, Kourtney, so that Kris could tell her about the situation.
“I totally understand how my mom is feeling because I would feel the same way,” Kourtney said. “It’s your womanly power and it doesn’t mean that it’s taking away who she is or what she’s experienced, but I would feel this sentimental feeling of what it’s created.”
Kris Jenner Remains Optimistic About Ovarian Surgery
Continuing to speak about her situation, Kris Jenner said if she can get through her hip replacement, she can get through her ovarian procedure.
“I’m not nervous to be put to sleep,” Jenner clarified. “I’m not nervous with Dr. A, she’s the best doctor in the world. But then you go to do it and… it’s so real.”
As she continued to cry, Kris Jenner said the procedure was a sign that she was getting older. It also means she was done using her ovaries. “It’s a whole chapter that’s just closed,” she noted.
In the confessional, Kendall said she understood why her mother was worried. However, she said if Jenner’s ovaries are “potentially hurting her” and she’s no longer using them, it’s time to get them “outta there.”
In an attempt to lighten up the mood, Kim declared that the family should have a “farewell ovaries” party. Corey also surprised Kris with a gift, a new fur coat.
“I don’t want you to be sad,” Corey said. “You’re gonna cry at least 15 more times so I just want you to have a gift.”
“I’m gonna be fine…I have you guys,” Kris added. “People often ask me what is the best job I’ve ever had, and I’ve always said: Mom. The biggest blessing in my life was being able to give birth to six beautiful kids.”
