The rapper and songwriter took to his social media pages to share the process of creating a wooden ship, complete with sails and oars, that he dedicated to his and Megan Fox’s lost child.
“my first wood carving,” he wrote in the caption. “for a special soul that will be found again.”
In November 2023, Megan Fox first shared her emotional miscarriage story in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.
“I want to hold your hand/hear your laugh,” Fox wrote. “But now/I have to say/goodbye.”
During a subsequent interview with Good Morning America, Fox opened up about the heartbreaking loss. “I had never been through anything like that before in my life,” Fox said.
“I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us. And it sent us on a very wild journey. Together and separately, and together and apart, and together and apart, and together and apart. Trying to navigate, what does this mean and why did this happen?”
Machine Gun Kelly reflected on the miscarriage as well in his track “Don’t Let Me Go.” “How can I live with the fact/That my hand wasn’t on her stomach when we lost the baby?” MGK says in the song.
In May 2022, MGK dedicated his Billboard Music Awards performance of his song “Twin Flame” to his then-fiancée Megan Fox, stating at the time, “And this is for our unborn child.”
