While appearing on the Hot Ones Versus earlier this week, the rapper was asked to choose between trash-talking Swift or eating a chicken wing doused with an extremely spicy hot sauce.
Tripp Redd, who appeared on the website series with Machine Gun Kelly for the episode, stated, “You offered to pay $1 million if [Swift’s boyfriend] Travis Kelce would come play for the Cleveland Browns. Burn that bridge by saying three mean things about Taylor Swift.”
Kelly almost immediately declined to say anything bad about Swift for a few reasons. The first is about the Swifties. “Ladies and gentlemen, you have got to be out of your motherf—ing minds if you think I want any smoke with that fanbase. Also, Taylor is a saint and very nice to me. And Travis is my bro.”
After Redd told him to kiss Taylor’s feet “while he’s at it,” Machine Gun Kelly declared, “Jesus Chris, I just – bro, she’s very nice. She’s very, very, nice.”
The rapper went on to eat the chicken wings, which were covered in Hot Ones’ Last Dab hot sauce. He also sang the chorus to Taylor Swift’s hit 2012 track I Knew You Were Trouble as he took a bite.
The fiercely loyal Swifties are well-known to quickly defend Taylor.
Machine Gun Kelly Clarified His $1 Million Offer for Travis Kelce to Play For the Cleveland Browns
Meanwhile, Machine Gun Kelly also explained his $1 million offer for Travis Kelce to play for the Cleveland Browns.
Both Travis and his brother Jason Kelce, as well as the rapper, are from the Cleveland, Ohio area. Kelly attended Shaker Heights High School, while the Kelce brothers went to Cleveland Heights High School.
“I said I would give $1 million spending money on top of whatever the NFL [gives him],’ Machine Gun Kelly clarified. “I’m not the f—ing NFL. Obviously, they’ll have to pay him, like, $30 million or $40 million or whatever the f—. I said I’ll give you a bonus of $1 million.”
The rapper made the offer during a Nov. 2023 call into the Kelce Brother’s New Heights podcast.
“I’m sure you get asked this question behind closed doors a lot, but I would be remiss – due to the nature of our friendship and just as a Clevelander – if I did not insert the question personally,” Machine Gun Kelly told Kelce.
He then said, “I will give $500,000 cash upon arrival just for shopping or whatever you want, as well as matching the same amount as a donation to both our high schools, Both Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights, as well as everyday breakfast and coffee delivery from my restaurant if you would just come home and put on [the Browns] colors.”
Despite things being great in Kansas City, Travis Kelce admitted that was an “intriguing offer.”
