Leave it to Mark Consuelos to get his wife Kelly Ripa riled up. The celeb recently discussed his wife’s shower habits. Speaking on an episode of Live, Ripa opened up about an article on whether someone should wash their legs in the shower.
“Now, as I said to Gelman, when I wash my body in the shower, which I do often and frequently, sometimes three times a day, I wash as though I’ve been exposed to nuclear radiation,” she said. She said that she “scrub[s] every part of [her] body as though it’s been exposed to something.”
That got some light teasing from Consuelos, who said, “You’re like a little cat.” Ripa brushed off his teasing, saying, ““But anyway, they’re saying that unless you’re aggressively sweating, you don’t need to wash your legs in the shower.”
However, Consuelos wasn’t done yet, saying, “You are aggressively sweating, though.” Ripa agreed that she has a sweating issue, so she does wash her legs. Ripa said that she’s a fan of The Shawshank Redemption soundtrack. She said, “After you listen to The Shawshank Redemption and you go for a run in Central Park, you’re scrubbing every part. All the parts are getting scrubbed.”
Mark Consuelos Mocks Wife
Ripa then turned the tables on her husband, asking him,“You wash every part of your body, don’t you? I mean, you scrub it down.”
Consuelos confirmed his shower habits. He said, “Sometimes I take a quick shower where I’m just in and out. It’s like my second shower of the day, it’s a quick one. It’s not a lot of scrubbing, just a lot of rinsing.”
Consuelos then teased his wife that she takes a shower like a car wash. He even mocked the sounds that a car wash makes. He said, “Watching you take a shower — which is always quite nice — is like going to the car wash and watching them, like watching one of those —”
Ripa said that she’s always prepared in case something happens. She always wants to look her best. “And here’s what I want them to say when I’m on the gurney: ‘This one was clean,’” she said. “There’s like no forensic evidence anywhere at all.”
The two also differed on how long they take in the show. Consuelos says he’s pretty quick while Ripa likes to take her time.
