The video features a crowd of jeering wedding guests gathered behind the bride as she flung the bouquet. A woman in a black dress picked the flowers off the ground. And the camera pans to show Harden standing beside her. The woman turned out to be his girlfriend, Paije Speights. And while she reacted with excitement to the ritual, Harden seemed less than enthusiastic.

James Harden’s Bouquet Reaction Goes Viral
In the video, Harden stands stiffly and stared straight ahead. He didn’t blink his eyes or say anything, even though his girlfriend hugged him while holding the bouquet.
Fans poked fun at the LA Clippers guard in comment sections throughout social media.
“He said you ain’t getting a ring before me,” one fan commented.
“Eyes look like he seen a damn ghost,” another joked while one said, “Bruh if my man looked that mortified while thinking of marrying me, I don’t think I could stay.”
Get Up, a broadcast show on ESPN, reacted to the video on Monday morning with Alan Hahn saying, “He clearly froze in the moment like he tends to do. But one thing you’ve got to watch for though is how’s he going to give her a ring?”
Celtics Refused to Trade Jaylen Brown For James
Most teams were willing to break the bank to acquire Harden when he hit the open market. After all, the chance to have a former NBA Most Valuable Player on your roster does not come around every day. But that wasn’t the case for Boston Celtics’ former general manager Danny Ainge. ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins says that while the Celtics were in the running for Harden they were willing to pass if it meant trading their star guard Jaylen Brown.
“I remember last when teams were calling about James Harden and Houston actually wanted Jaylen Brown,” Perkins said per NBC Sports.
“I was on the phone with Danny Ainge for an hour, and I remember how our conversation went. He was like, ‘Hey, Perk, would you trade Jaylen Brown for James Harden?’ And I was like, ‘Danny, you know how I feel about Jaylen Brown, but I would trade him for James Harden.’ He was like, ‘ Are you kidding me? He’s not going anywhere. He’s not even 25 and he keeps getting better.’”
