Nicole Brown Simpson’s three sisters are speaking out for the first time about O.J. Simpson’s recent death. When O.J. passed away from cancer at 76 last month, Nicole’s sisters, Tanya (54), Dominique (59), and Denise (66), experienced a mix of emotions.

“It’s very complicated,” Dominique told People Magazine for their Friday issue. “This is a person who’s been in our life for a very long time, who wreaked havoc on our family. It’s like the end of a chapter,” Tanya added.
On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were found murdered in Los Angeles. O.J. Simpson was acquitted in the 1995 criminal trial but found liable in a 1997 wrongful death lawsuit.
Denise and Dominique vividly recall the day in 1977 when Nicole, an 18-year-old aspiring model and photographer, introduced them to O.J.
Nicole had met the then-married football star while working at a restaurant in Los Angeles. “He was just her boyfriend to us,” Dominique recalled.
However, that soon changed when Nicole invited them to see a Bill game and the sisters saw the NFL star in action. “He made a touchdown, and he looked up at all of us. I was like, ‘Wow, look at this guy. He’s amazing,’” Dominique remembered thinking.
Despite his “amazing” antics on the field, the Brown sisters claim O.J. Simpson was much different toward Nicole that very evening. Denise recalled that O.J. lost his temper when he saw Nicole kiss a male friend on the cheek. It led to a confrontation at home where he accused her of embarrassing him.
Nicole Brown’s Sister Recall Other Volatile Incidents Involving O.J. Simpson
When Nicole became pregnant with O.J.’s child, she was overjoyed. Nicole and O.J. shared two children: daughter Sydney, now 38, and son Justin, 35.
“It just opened her heart more,” Dominique explained. “I think she thought that everything would be different having a child.”
However, the sisters claim Nicole’s baby body didn’t sit well with O.J. “She was pregnant, and he was calling her a fat pig,” Denise remembers Simpson saying.
In a new Lifetime documentary series, The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, airing on June 1 and 2, Nicole’s sisters recount a disturbing incident during a family vacation in Hawaii. O.J. Simpson became furious when a gay restaurant patron kissed their baby son Justin on the forehead, leading to an assault on Nicole.
Despite the red flags, Denise Simpson thought O.J.’s outbursts were “isolated incidents”.
During O.J. Simpson’s trial for her sister’s murder, Tanya discovered the extent of his violence. She was shocked by the images of Nicole’s bruised face, taken by Denise in 1989, and questioned how he could harm someone he supposedly loved.
Upon hearing of her sister’s violent death, Denise instinctively knew who was responsible.
“The moment my mom got the phone call, I heard this screaming from my parents’ bedroom,” she recalled. “It was gut-wrenching. I grabbed the phone, and the detective said, ‘Your sister’s been killed.’”
She added, “I said, ‘Oh my God, he did it, he finally did it.’ I knew in my heart [it was O.J.].”
Tanya recalls that it was the introduction of DNA evidence, including blood found in O.J.’s white Bronco and at his home, that solidified her conviction: “DNA doesn’t lie.”
Dominique, however, remains unwilling to share her views on O.J.’s guilt. “Because of the children, I’m not going to answer,” she insisted.
