Kylie and Jason Kelce were reportedly heading to Steve & Cookie’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Margate City, New Jersey on Saturday, May 25, when an eager fan approached them.
The fan asked if she could get a photo with the couple and they politely declined. However, the fan continued to push and refused to take no for an answer. She then started screaming at Kylie. As she and the fan got into it, Kylie was heard yelling, “I can smell the alcohol on your breath, you’re embarrassing yourself.”
After the ordeal went viral, Mayor Collins released a statement apologizing to Kylie and Jason Kelce for the out-of-control fan’s behavior.
“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” the mayor wrote. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”
Kylie and Jason Kelce have yet to publicly address the comment.
Jason did discuss the vacation during the latest episode of his and Travis’ New Heights podcast. “We went to Sea Isle [New Jersey]. We definitely went to Sea Isle. Went to the beach, had a lot of fun with the girls, ate a bunch of beach food,” he said. “Shore is fun. It was good to be out there. It’s the first really big weekend of the year. So all the businesses are back up and running. So, yep, it’s like you never left.”
Jason Kelce Recently Stated That His and Kylie’s Marriage Is a ‘Partnership’ and They ‘Are Equals’
Just before the crazy fan interaction, Jason Kelce spoke out about his marriage to Kylie.
Following an internet troll’s criticism about Kylie being a homemaker who has a messy house, Jason came to his wife’s defense with kindness.
“I think of her as my wife,” Jason wrote. “I think of her as a mother. She has an occupation, as do I, and we keep our house the best we can.”
“Our marriage is a partnership, we are equals who are figuring it out on the daily. The only expectation is that we love each other, support one another, and are committed to our family, that comes first.”
Jason also took responsibility for their house being a mess. “It is both our faults it is messy, but such is life with 3 young children, busy schedules, and neither of us being neat freaks. She also makes a mean sandwich,” he fired back.
He went on to add, “If being a homemaker, works for some, and that’s what they want, then hell yea, that’s awesome, more power to you. I want to be clear, I’m not downplaying that at all, but that is not our family dynamic.”
