During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Wallace spoke about the allegations against the now-infamous rapper. “I’m sick to my stomach,” she admitted. She said she feels for Diddy’s ex Cassie Ventura and Diddy’s mother.
“I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard,” Notorious B.I.G.’s mother continued. “But I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologizes to her.”
Wallace went on to add, “I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that. Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.”
Diddy was very close to Notorious B.I.G. in the mid-90s and seemed to be a key player in the rapper’s success. However, Rolling Stone recently revealed that the late music icon, whose real name is Christopher Wallace, had planned to cut ties with Diddy before his 1997 murder.
“[Wallace] was absolutely about to leave Puff,” a former Bad Boy partner and president Kirk Burrowes told the media outlet. “I know for a fact [because] he told me that.”
Hip-hop photographer, Monique Bunn, also told the media outlet that Notorious B.I.G. didn’t respect Diddy and referred to him as a “corny executive.”
Rolling Stones’ Interview With Notorious’ Mother Comes Weeks After 2016 Hotel Surveillance Video Was Released
In the 2016 hotel surveillance video, Diddy is seen wearing nothing but a bath towel as he chasing Ventura down a hotel hallway and slamming her to the ground near an elevator. He then proceeded to kick her and throw items at her. His assault ended abruptly as someone entered the hallway through the elevator.
After the video dominated headlines, Diddy took to Instagram to apologize for his actions. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times of your life,” he said at the time. “But sometimes you gotta do that. I f—- up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses.”
Diddy then said he took full responsibility for his actions in the video. “They’re disgusting. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought professional help.”
He also claimed he had sought therapy following the incident. “I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I am truly sorry.”
