Hours after he apologized for calling WNBA’s Caitlin Clark a “white b—,” Pat McAfee once again uses the insult towards WWE superstar Braun Strowman.

During WWE’s Monday Night Raw, McAfee dropped in the insult as Strowman ran towards the ring. Often referring to Strowman as “a big son of a b—“, McAfee decided to change this up with “big white son of a b—.”
Pat McAfee ranted in defense of Clark while going off on the media and WNBA pros for the treatment the basketball player has received.
“I would like the media people that continue to say, ‘This rookie class, this rookie class, this rookie class’. Nah, just call it for what it is — there’s one white b—- for the Indiana team who is a superstar,” McAfee said during the June 3 episode of his self-titled podcast.
“Is there a chance that people just enjoy her playing basketball because of how electrifying she is, what she did, what she stood for,” Pat McAfee continued. “But instead, we have to hear people say that we all like her because she’s white and she’s the only popular because the rest of the rookie class is doing what they’re doing. That’s a bunch of bull—-.”
Pat McAfee Walked Back His ‘White B—‘ Comment Towards Caitlin Clark
Not long after the June 3 podcast episode was posted, McAfee posted a tweet apologizing for his inappriate comment.
“I shouldn’t have used ‘white b—‘ as a descriptor of Caitlin Clark,” McAfee explained. “No matter the context.. even if we’re talking about race being a reason for some of the stuff happening.. I have way too much respect for her and women to put that into the universe.”
Pat McAfee continued his apology by explaining what he meant. “My intentions when saying it were complimentary just like the entire segment but, a lot of folks are saying that it certainly wasn’t at all. That’s 100% on me and for that I apologize… I have sent an apology to Caitlin as well. Everything else I said… still alllllll facts.”
Many of his followers claimed that he shouldn’t have had to apologize for his remark. “Shouldn’t have to apologize, Pat,” one follower said. “But that’s the reactionary, social media world we live in. You were just trying to say that Caitlin Clark is a bad—. Real ones know.”
Another fan wrote, “Don’t apologize. She hears 10x worse on the court every day. What did they say of Larry Bird… you forgot. ‘If he were black, he would just be another basketball player.’ It’s sports. Larry Bird gave as much as he got and more.”
