As previously reported, Rick revealed the cause of Adam’s death was fentanyl overdose. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” the Pawn Stars’ lead explained. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
The Harrison family did release a statement about Adam’s death. “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”
A Harrison family spokesperson revealed to TMZ that with Rick addressing Adam’s death last month, there will not be any further comment in future episodes. It was also pointed out that Adam was not a cast member of the show.
The media outlet further reported that the Harrison family members are keeping themselves busy following Adam’s death. Although Adam helped out at Harrison’s World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop back years ago, he was not featured on Pawn Stars.
Adam was the second child of Rick and his first wife Kim. His older brother, Corey, is a cast member on the show. Following his divorce from Kim, Rick married his second wife Tracy, and had one son, Jake.
Rick Harrison’s Son ‘Lacked Sound Reasoning and Mental Clarity’ Prior to His Sudden Death
Just after Adam Harrison’s death was announced, more details about his life leading up to his sudden passing surfaced.
According to the New York Post, the second eldest son of Pawn Stars Rick Harrison spent three months in jail. He then moved into a Las Vegas guesthouse.
It remains unclear exactly why he was incarcerated. However, Rick issued a statement that reads, “Fentanyl turned my son into someone he wasn’t and that brought with it bad decisions and spending time in jail.”
Two weeks before his passing Adam was living in the guest house. A woman who lived in an RV close to the main and guest houses had told authorities that Rick’s son had demonstrated “alarming behavior.” This included barricading himself in the house.
“His conversations were often lacking sound reasoning and mental clarity,” a police report revealed.
The woman also said that Adam gave himself two black eyes after learning a person he liked had a new boyfriend. “He did not want to beat up the new boyfriend so he beat up himself.”
