On Tuesday night Pete was spotted at a Nets game alongside his mother Amy. The two sat courtside further confirming that the comedian is in fact not in rehab. Just this Monday a source that is allegedly close to the actor told the US Sun that he “checked into rehab in Florida fairly recently.”
The source also added that Davidson is “not in a good place.” And is “in pretty bad shape this time around”. In addition to the rehab rumors, the source also claimed that Pete was involved in a “fling” with “The Bachelor” star Maria Georgas. This is also allegedly false.
Georgas shut down the rumors right away by posting a story to her Instagram on Tuesday. The reality star said, “False rumor! I’m friends with his sister. Case closed.”
She continued, “Just spoke to his sister he’s not in rehab and has been sober for months. Can’t believe this s–t it’s very insulting to his recovery and my mental health.”
Another insider apparently stood up for Pete earlier this week. According to Page Six, the source said that Pete is not in rehab and has just been laying low in NYC.
Pete Davidson Continues To Be An Advocate For Mental Health
The “King of Staten Island” star has always been open and honest about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse issues. Pete previously spoke about his Borderline Personality Disorder back in 2017 while starring on SNL. The comedian said, “As some of you know, I was recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, a form of depression.”
“First of all, if you think you’re depressed, see a doctor and talk with him about medication and also, be healthy. Eating right and exercise can make a huge difference.” Pete continues to work on maintaining his mental health, as well as serving as a strong advocate for mental health treatment.
