Years before she and Ben Affleck were spotted hanging out in Los Angeles, Kick Kennedy admitted to having a crush on the Pearl Harbor star.
A source close to the second eldest child of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told PEOPLE her “celeb crush” has always been Affleck. They also pointed out that the actress and activist is a “partier” and “likes to have a good time.”
However, the Insider noted they’re unsure if anything is happening between Kick Kennedy and Ben Affleck. “I don’t think they even know each other,” they said. “There’s definitely nothing going on.”
They further shared, “Kick and Ben have been spending time together, but I’m not sure what’s happening.”
Meanwhile, a fellow source said Kick Kennedy and Ben Affleck have been “spending time together” since late spring. They were recently seen together at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and other Los Angeles hotspots.
The gossip circulating about the two started just after Affleck’s second wife, Jennifer Lopez, filed for divorce after two years of marriage. She stated in her filing that she and Ben have been separated since late April.
A source stated that while JLo and Ben loved each other, the marriage happened too quickly. “They were really going to give it a try, and they did,” the insider shared. “These are two people who are in love with love, and who wouldn’t jump into that? And the world wanted it.”
The soon-to-be exes did not have a prenup in place.
Meanwhile, Kick was previously romantically linked to Paul Simon’s son, Harper. She also reportedly dated billionaire heir Matthew Mellon before he died in 2018.
Jennifer Lopez Reportedly ‘Didn’t Want a Divorce’ From Ben Affleck
Although things could be better for Jennifer Lopez, sources close to the “Jenny From the Block” hitmaker say she’s doing well after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
The insider told PEOPLE that Lopez is “doing as well as she can” days after filing.
“It’s been incredibly difficult for her that Ben chose to pull away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her behind,” they shared. “She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type to just give up. It’s been almost torture for her to wait around.”
However, the insider said that after filing for divorce, Jennifer Lopez seems “relieved.”
“Her family and friends agree that it was the right decision,” the source continued. “She’s surrounded by a lot of love and support. She’ll be fine. She’s strong and always comes out on top.”
A separate source then added that Lopez “tried really hard” to make things work between her and Affleck and she is heartbroken.
