According to the latest round of legal documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s well-known lawyer Marc Agnifilo claimed he and the rest of the legal discovered that prosecutors are now in possession of attorney-client privileged material. All of the materials were allegedly seized from the now disgraced rap mogul’s jail cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Agnifilo further stated that the seized privileged materials included handwritten notes by Sean “Diddy” Combs to his legal team concerning defense witnesses and defense strategies. All of which were for his upcoming May 2025 trial.
The lawyer then shared that the feds already admitted to having notes recovered from Diddy’s cell. He also pointed out that search and seizure violates the rapper’s Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment rights.
Combs’ lawyer stated that the notes from his cell were turned over to the trial prosecutors. The lawyer believes prosecutors will use the material in their legal filing to keep Diddy behind bars.
Diddy’s legal team has requested to address the incident in a court hearing. The feds are to explain why the raid was conducted. They would also determine what materials were taken from Diddy’s cell.
Agnifilo went on to rip into the feds involved in the Sean “Diddy” Combs’ jail cell search. He called the search and seizure “outrageous government conduct amounting to a substantive due process. violation.”
The Feds’ Jail Cell Search Comes Just Weeks After Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Legal Team File New Gag Order
The jail cell search noticeably occurred just weeks after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team filed a new gag order.
The legal team requested the gag order due to a witness, identified as Courtney Burgess, had done interviews about Diddy’s alleged crimes.
Burgess, alongside his attorney, Ariel Mitchell, recently spoke to TMZ outside the courthouse about him testifying in the Diddy’s case. He has or has seen inappropriate videos of Diddy and his celebrity friends.
Diddy’s legal team denied Burgess’ allegations. They stated what the witness alleged was both untrue and “defamatory.” They also noted that by not treating Burgess’ claims as an “extortion scam,” they believe the federal government is “fueling” online conspiracies.
The feds have been investigating him for nearly a year for sex parties, known as “Freak-Offs,” which allegedly involved minors. Some of those involved were claimed to be under the age of 13.
