The 32-year-old self-made billionaire delivered an impactful message at a Women in Film dinner in Beverly Hills on Thursday night, just over a week after revealing her inability to carry her own children.
Gomez let the trolls have it in a viral video captured at the event, which was later shared across all corners of the internet.
“I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help or when you want help — that is not shameful,” Gomez began.
“So yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared that I have bipolar. F–k off. That’s what my life is. That’s who I am,” she added.

The mogul, actress, and singer attended the dinner accompanied by her younger sister, Gracie Teefey, 11. Throughout the evening, she occasionally spoke directly to her while engaging with the group of women.
“I really want to be an advocate for women, and that’s why I share; that’s why I like to be honest, because everybody’s going through something,” Gomez continued. “I don’t have it all put together. I’m not a, you know, whatever. I am me, and that’s all I can be.”
“Do not ever let anyone tell you that you are not a good person,” the Only Murders in the Building star urged.

Selena Gomez Opened Up About Not Being Able to Carry Her Own Children Earlier This Month
Gomez opened up about the heartbreak in her Vanity Fair cover story which dropped earlier this month.
“I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she told the outlet.
Gomez expressed that she once imagined carrying a baby herself, believing it would unfold like it does for others. However, she acknowledged that she has various options available if she chooses to pursue parenthood.
“I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me,” she added.
In 2013, Gomez was diagnosed with lupus, which led to her undergoing a kidney transplant. She also courageously shared her diagnosis of bipolar disorder with the public.
