In a post on its Instagram Stories, Manita, which is located on Toronto’s Ossington Ave, called out the actor for his behavior while he was recently visiting the establishment.
“Zachary Quinto – an amazing Spock, but terrible customer,” the post reads. “Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn’t reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him, despite being politely informed they were spoken for.”
The restaurant’s team then stated that the situation made its host cry and the rest of its brunch diners uncomfortable. “Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita but you are NOT one of them.”
Zachary Quinto was in Toronto over the weekend to celebrate his 47th birthday. Although he hasn’t responded to the restaurant’s remarks, he did post a picture of himself having a birthday dessert at a different establishment.
He also took a picture of him visiting Canada’s Wonderland amusement park.
Zachary Quinto Previously Reveals ‘Creative Difference’ Led to the Delay of ‘Star Trek 4’
Last summer, Zachary Quinto spoke about what was really holding up the filming of Star Trek 4. The film was put on hold until last year when Paramount removed the project from its production calendar.
“I think there’s a lot of other stuff, creative things,” he stated. “It’s complicated. The fact that anything good gets made is kind of miracle. I think it’s about different people having different agendas and ideas about what it will be. And I don’t know if and when it will happen…”
However, Zachary Quinto seems to remain loyal to the franchise and would happily come back to play Spock. “And if coalesces again and we come back and we’re able to do it, wonderful. If not, we had a great run.”
Quinto also said that he was grateful for the role. He was able to develop a friendship with Star Trek icon, Leonard Nimoy. “I was so fortunate because of Leonard [Nimoy]’s involvement in the process,” he added. “And the one thing I never could have anticipated was how instrumental he would become in my life personally. But from a creative standpoint, and from a professional standpoint, having that relationship and that introduction to this world helped me understand the character.”
