Swift tried to fight back the waterworks as fans cheered at her final performance in Liverpool on Saturday. The show was performed during a sold-out crowd at the 60,000-capacity Anfield Stadium.
After removing her earpiece so she can fully embrace the cheering, Taylor Swift declared on stage, “I love you so much, Liverpool, thank you!”
Hours later, Swift took to her Instagram to share pictures of the three shows she performed in Liverpool over the past few days.
“So many dreamy memories from Liverpool!! We played our 100th show on The Eras Tour,” Taylor Swift shared in the post. She stated, “Which feels truly deranged to say because this show feels new to me every time we play it.”
Swift continued the post by showing some love her crew. “I want say thank you to our Eras Tour crew, my fellow performers and band,” she wrote. “Who have now committed hundreds of hours to putting on this show and giving their all on and behind that stage.”
“I can’t believe the work ethic, creativity and dedication I get to be surrounded with every day.”
Taylor Swift went on to gush about the fans who attended the Liverpool performances. “All 3 Liverpool crowds were so expressive and generous and endlessly FUN.”
“Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend (you broke the all-time stadium attendance record!!) AND thank you to everyone who has come to any of the shows on The Eras Tour. It’s been the adventure of a lifetime because of you.”
