Despite the recent news about Kanye West “name-dropping” her in his new single Carnivals, Taylor Swift doesn’t seem too bothered by the situation.

As previously reported, the rapper couldn’t resist mentioning the Bad Blood hitmaker in the single, which made its debut at his Vultures listening experience earlier this month.
The single’s lyrics read, “I mean since Taylor Swift since I had a Rollie on the wrist / I’m the new Jesus, b— / I turned water into Kris / This for what they did to Chris / They can’t do s— with this.”
The latest name-drop comes less than a decade after Taylor Swift and Kanye West sparked infamous drama over West putting Swift in his single Famous. Although the duo had discussed the lyrics and Swift was initially cool with the name-drop, she wasn’t thrilled that West stated he “made that b— famous.”
After Swift publicly spoke out about the situation, West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian released a partial clip of the conversation between the two musicians. This sparked intense backlash towards Swift.
The drama between Swift and West initially started in 2009 when West interrupted her 2009 MTV VMA Best Female Video speech to declare Beyonce should have won.
However, this time around, Taylor Swift is not fazed by the latest name-drop from Kanye West. A source told Us Weekly, “[Taylor] has so much on her plate and isn’t concerned what Kanye is or isn’t doing. She has no plans on responding publicly or privately.”
Another source pointed out that Taylor Swift thinks the conflict between her and Kanye West is one-sided. “Kanye is trying to get back in the spotlight and an easy way to do that is through Taylor, who has completely moved on.”
Taylor Swift Wrote About Kanye West in Her Track ‘Innocent’
Following the infamous VMA incident, Taylor Swift wrote about Kanye West in her single Innocent. Although she didn’t name-drop him, she referred to him by singing about a “35-year-old man still growing up.”
During a 2010 interview with New York Magazine, Swift spoke about the song’s inspiration. “I think a lot of people expected me to write about [West],” she said at the time. “But, for me, it was important to write a song to him.”
“It doesn’t really add anything good if I start victimizing myself and complaining about things. Because I’m proud of that performance at the VMAs last year, where my fans helped me get through it.”
Swift then added that she is someone who feels “everything” when something happens to her. “I’ve never had this thick skin. It’s not like I am bulletproof in any sense of the word.”
