In the past, it seemed that Taylor had to hide her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn. Throughout their time together, they were photographed shielding their faces or running from cameras.
In an old interview, Taylor shared her opinion on hiding a relationship — like she did with Joe. “It all depends on who you’re with,” she told the interviewer. “If they have a serious issue with it, then you, I guess, hide or whatever. But I don’t really like that.”
She added that it makes her feel as though she’s running from the law.
“I don’t want to feel like I’m like a fugitive. Like, ‘Oh, my God, we’re having a relationship. Better put on a mask and stuff.'”
Taylor Swift Reveals How She Feels About Hiding a Relationship
Taylor’s ex, Joe, was infamous for keeping their relationship under the wraps. Many fans assumed he was the reason they hid their connection from the rest of the world, seeing as it never seemed to bother Taylor before.
Travis Kelce, on the other hand, is happy to be photographed with Taylor. The TikTok clip showed the contrast between Taylor’s two boyfriends, with Joe hiding and running from cameras and Travis publicly embracing his love for Taylor.
“You know, it comes with it,” he said when asked about the paparazzi. “You got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason. You just gotta keep living and learning and enjoying the moments.”
In fact, Taylor and Travis just attended Coachella together and didn’t seem to hide their relationship at all. They even danced together in the crowd with other fans.
“I think for me I’d rather just live my life,” Taylor said in the resurfaced interview. “I feel like if you can be in a relationship and have it seem normal, that would be good.”
This is exactly the dynamic she now has with Travis, which has made fans extremely happy for her. The two, who started dating back in September, appear super in love and are still going strong.
